Thank God For Aksimet! —
I just upgraded my blog to use WordPress 2.6 – which, as always was a simple procedure. Today however, I also upgraded the Aksimet plugin using the automatic plugin upgrade feature recently introduced to WP.
While the upgrade was being done, Aksimet was disabled for around 30 seconds – no big deal you may think. However during that 30 seconds 11 spam comments made it into my moderation queue!
If that was a persistant attack it would mean during a 24 hour period I would have to moderate over 3,100 spam comments!
Where would we be without Aksimet?
