Thats that then… —
Yup… another year, another year older. I'm glad to say my birthday went fairly well (Well, better than the birthday when my mother walked out on us). We did have quite an event though earlier in the day due to an argument between stephs sisters causing everyone to get up and leave but besides that, everything was pretty cool. I went to see the Matrix Revolutions film and came to pretty much the same conclusion as all the press reviews: Great effects, but what the hell did it all mean?
I was kinda expecting answers in this film but It just left me more confused. The only thing I can get from the film is that the whole point of “the one” is to act as what was essentially an over the top anti-virus solution for the matrix. Still… It was a good blast and I'll probably buy it on DVD if not just for a chance to try and make further sense of it.
One thing I did notice during the film (which made me chuckle) was that when they're chasing the “train man” off the train they run through a subway station. On the wall of the station (the first one they pass) there is a poster on the wall advertising Tasty Wheat. Those of you who remember the first film will remember that when the crew are sat in the canteen on the nebacannezza and mouse is discussing what the goop that they're interested in tastes like, he says that it reminds him of tasty wheat. I guess its just a little thing to look out for. Nice touch though.
